March WIPocalypse and Theme-a-licious Looking Backwards and Forwards III

WIPocalypse is hosted by Measi of Measi's Musings.

While I remember to post the Ornie SAL post on Wednesday I clear forgot that it was also WIPocalypse day!

So slightly belatedly and amalgamated with Theme-a-licious here it is:

The main focus of my WIPocalypse this year will be my "13 in '13" a list of 13 projects I want to complete in 2013, click on top tab for the list.

I stitched on two of  my 13 projects, Prairie Moon "Thine is the Trick and the Treat" (for one evening only) and also one of the Lizzie*Kate designs sent to me by Sarah.

Stitched on 40 count linen 2 over 2.  Last night I stitched the N, a star and the skull on the bottom right.

Theme-a-licious is hosted by Heather of It's Geek to Me

Each month Heather thinks up a theme for us to stitch to, or in my case, a theme to somehow shoe-horn my existing stitching into, no matter how tenuous the link!

This month it is
March Madness
Work on something different every day...it's madness...of the funnest possible kind.

I knew I wouldn't be able to stitch on 31 projects so I aimed to better last March's total of 12 by 1 (13 for '13).  I succeeded!  Here they are in order worked on:

 1. Joan Elliott February design
 2. Danika's Birth Sampler
 3. JBW March Cat
 4. Chatelaine Bunny
 5. Julie's Mirabilia Round Robin
 6. Dragon Dreams 3rd Dragonlet of Christmas
 7. Needlecraft Haven March Challenge (no pic)
 8. La Contesse Haunted Castle
 9. San Man Happy Easter
10. L*K Spring
11. Prairie Moon Thine is the Trick and the Treat (see above)
12. Twisted Threads Itty Bitty Bunny
13. Sophia's Band Sampler RR (no pic)

And the photos, first the ones you've already seen in previous posts:

   Danika Birth Sampler

And here are the three new starts:

From left is the L*K chart sent to me in a giveaway from Sarah, in the centre is the Twisted Threads design sent to me by Kath to celebrate her 30th Anniversary and on the right is the San Man design, also sent by Kath.  All three are stitched on pieces of the yellow evenweave Kath included in her parcel.  Thanks ladies!
I've changed the colours of the the pieces to tone with the fabric and each other.

The Chatelaine Bunny is no longer available.  Martine emailed Vickie to say it was a limited time frame only. Maybe if enough of you email her she might re-issue it!  There are more freebies on her website.

April's theme is:

Amazon April
Dip your needle into the vast swath of fabric dedicated to your BIGGEST projects!

So that will be my evening stitching as during the day I only stitch smalls.  I have Julie and Sophia's RRs to finish then I'd like to continue with Green Goddess.  The second round of the Large Mira will be appearing towards the end of the month so I can stitch on that one too.

Finally, the Easter Treasure Hunt Blog Hop is open until 8th April (see previous post).  Lots of correct answers so far but time for more to enter.  Enjoy the rest of your Easter Holiday.

  10. Hi Jo, Lots of lovely stitching as usual. You get so much done, you are certainly my inspiration. I see on your sidebar that you have 23 finishes for this year already - well done! I think that I have just about caught up as I have a couple I am yet to put on my sidebar Finishes list. See, I took your advice and I have been concentrating on working on some smallls as well as bigger projects. Stitching on the train helps, too. Plus the Ornie SALs, etc.
