Measi also sets discussion topics for each month:

Full Moon Dates and Topics for 2014:
January 5 - Introduce yourself, your projects, and any goals you have for the year!
February 4 – How do you overcome that feeling that you’re in a rut with a particular project?
March 5  – If money – and time – were not limiters, what projects would be on your stitching bucket list?
April 4 – Which specialty stitches do you love doing on projects?  Which do you dread?
May 4 – What do you like to listen to while you stitch? (my own topic as one was not set)
June 2 – Do you find yourself more productive with stitching in summer or winter?
July 2 – Reality or Fantasy. Which do you prefer to stitch? Figures or Abstract?

July 31 – It’s a blue moon today. Show us your favorite WIP that features a lot of blue!
August 29 – Pick one of the WIP pieces you’ve stitched on this month, and tell us about your stitching journey with the piece.
September 28 – Where do you buy most of your stitching supplies?
October 27 – Are there any fibers or materials used in stitching that you’re nervous to try?
November 25 – Which designer has inspired you to stitch the greatest number of designs and why do you think that is?

December 25 – Recap your accomplishments for the year! (Your finishes, your final before/after photos, etc).

D.E.S.I.G.N. is a new one this year.

What is D.E.S.I.G.N?

D.E.S.I.G.N. is a somewhat recursive acronym and stands for Designer Everybody Should Instantly Get to Notice. How clever of me, right? Right? Okay, moving on. It's also a monthly blog challenge for cross stitchers (or possibly other crafters as well). Each month you get to present a designer of your choice, be it your favourite or someone you just discovered, you only need to have an ongoing WIP by them - and answer a few questions about them. Easy as that.

Here are my chosen designers:
January - The triumverate of Nora Corbett, Joan Elliott and Teresa Wenztler
February - Madame Chantilly
March - Satsuma Street
April - Primitive Hare
May - Blue Ribbon Designs
June - With Thy Needle & Thread
July - Brooke's Books Designs
August - Knotted Tree NeedleArt
September - Just Cross Stitch magazine
October - Plum Street Samplers
November - Glendon Place
December
